DESCRIPTION:In the Vedic Tradition\, the source of knowledge for Transcendental Meditation\, the full moon of July is celebrated as Guru Purnima — the day of the Guru. \nOnce a year\, on the first full moon after the summer solstice\, we celebrate and honour the teachers of our tradition. DESCRIPTION:Experience deep rest and rejuvenation over a Weekend TM Retreat. \nThis weekend course is designed to give you additional TM practice and insightful knowledge about the evolution of higher states of consciousness. \nDuring the TM Retreat\, you can experience a level of rest and rejuvenation that goes beyond what daily life typically allows. \nIt’s an excellent opportunity to deepen your meditation practice and dedicate yourself to getting maximum rest. \nCourse Overview \n\nDeep rest and profound experiences through an extended TM program.\nEngaging and inspiring knowledge sessions.\nInstruction in Yoga Asana (yoga postures) and Pranayama (breathing exercises).\nDelicious home-style meals from Friday evening to Sunday lunch.\n\nKnowledge Theme: Kama\, Karma and Dharma. \nLife Lessons from the Bhagavad Gita. \nLOGISTICS: \nMount Carmel Spiritual Centre is located directly across from Niagara Falls itself\, and although sometimes the trees camouflage the falls\, we can hear the falls and feel the refreshing air that it generates. \nEach person will have their own private room with a full bathroom. Most beds are twin size. There are a few rooms with full size beds. Early registrants get first choice\, by request\, as available. \nNote: Mount Carmel’s policy: rates are per person\, not per room. i.e. there is no discount for doubling up. As a TM Retreat is structured for deepest possible rest\, it is recommended that couples take advantage of this situation and occupy two rooms. \nHome-made vegetarian meals made by experienced kitchen staff famous for their good food.
