Consciousness and Physics: Where Ancient Wisdom and Modern Science Meet<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. John Hagelin, the leader of the Transcendental Meditation Organization in the U.S., is a quantum physicist, educator, author, peace advocate, and scientist of consciousness.<\/p>\n

Dr. Hagelin helped develop a highly successful grand unified field theory based on the superstring theory. His scientific contributions to electroweak unification, grand unification, supersymmetry, and cosmology are among the most cited references in the physical sciences. He is among an elite cadre of physicists who have advanced Einstein\u2019s dream of a \u201cTheory of Everything\u201d through their mathematical formulation of the unified field\u2014the most advanced scientific knowledge of our time. https:\/\/hagelin.org\/about-dr-john-hagelin\/<\/a><\/p>\n

What is the relationship between the \u201cTheory of Everything\u201d and consciousness? Dr. Hagelin will tell us his personal journey: his introduction to Transcendental Meditation followed by a decades-long collaboration with Maharishi and other scientists. Together, they connected the unified field of quantum physics with consciousness in pursuit of a unified understanding of life.<\/p>\n

Dr. Hagelin received his A.B. in Physics summa cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1975 and his Ph.D. in Physics from Harvard University in 1981. He has conducted pioneering research at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) and SLAC (Stanford Linear Accelerator Center).
\nIn addition to leading the USA TM organization, Dr. Hagelin also serves as President Emeritus and Distinguished Professor of Physics at Maharishi International University (MIU), and International President of the Global Union of Scientists for Peace (GUSP.org) \u2014 an organization of Nobel laureates and leading scientists dedicated to nuclear disarmament and evidence-based solutions to crime, terrorism, and social conflict. He was also the founding President of the David Lynch Foundation.<\/p>\n
