In this lively presentation, Dr. Śankari Wegman will speak about Maharishi Ayurveda®, the modern revival and restoration of this thousand-year-old, natural, prevention-oriented approach, and how it develops resilience and vibrant health.

She will illustrate these benefits through a discussion of dinacharya, the ideal daily routine. This daily timeline of simple but powerful practices and habits balances the doshas, aids digestion and sleep, boosts immunity, optimizes mental clarity, and enhances longevity. Dr. Wegman will speak about her lifelong passion for empowering people to live their best life through Maharishi Ayurveda.

Śankari Menon Wegman, PhD, is the Assistant Director of the Fellowship MS in Integrative Medicine and Ayurveda for advanced health practitioners at Maharishi International University (MIU). She has over 20 years of experience in Ayurvedic education, practice, curriculum development, and health coaching. Born in Bangalore, India, and raised in the US, she earned a doctorate in physiology and health, focusing on integrative medicine and Ayurvedic curriculum for medical education.

She has worked at The Raj Ayurvedic Health Spa in Fairfield, Iowa, and MIU’s Integrative Wellness Clinic, where she served as a faculty trustee on the board of directors. Dr. Wegman also chairs the Development of Consciousness committee for Maharishi School (K-12). She is a Certified Teacher of the Transcendental Meditation® technique and Maharishi YogaSM Asanas and holds an RYT-200 credential with Yoga Alliance.
