How One Woman Taught TM to 1% of Ottawa’s Civil Servants
mardi, 12 mai à 2h00 - 3h30 EDT
With Special Guest Jocelyne Comtois, Hosted by John Cowhig
Canadian TM teacher Jocelyne Comtois, working directly with Maharishi, pioneered the creation of Science of Creative Intelligence (SCI) courses for businesses and government. Her research on TM’s effects on short-term memory — approved at the highest levels of government — paved the way for TM programs in the Canadian Civil Service. By 1974, this had led to 1% of Ottawa’s civil servants practicing TM.
Jocelyne later spent a decade working closely with Maharishi in Switzerland, contributing to courses such as SCI and Management, which are now part of the MIU curriculum.
Jocelyne holds MAs in Business Administration, Education, and the Science of Creative Intelligence. Beyond her SCI contributions, she has given management training to professionals around the world and lectured at institutions such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. She has also taught TM in English and Spanish to foreign diplomats, held leadership roles at Maharishi International University and The Raj AyurVeda Spa, and pursued advanced studies in AyurVeda and Jyotish in India.
In her talk, Jocelyne will share reflections from her years of creating courses with Maharishi, insights into integrating consciousness-based education with management and leadership, and lessons from her extensive work across government, business, and international communities.
Please join us to hear the remarkable story of a woman who showed the Canadian federal government how TM improves the intellect and health of its leaders.
Begins with a 20-minute group TM.
