Modern education focuses on what students study: math, history, etc. But it fails to develop the students’ creativity, intelligence, alertness, and breadth of comprehension. It fills the container of knowledge with facts and career skills, but fails to expand the container itself.
Education has a three-fold structure: Knower, Process of Knowing, and Known. But in most schools, the emphasis in education is on the ‘Known.’ By adding TM to the curriculum, we expand both the Process of Knowing and the Knower, thereby connecting the Known—knowledge— to the personal experience of the student’s own deepest Self. By enlivening the student’s entire brain rather than just isolated regions associated with particular subjects, the student grows toward the state of Enlightenment—the ability to know anything, do anything, and accomplish anything.
In addition to developing the brain as a whole, we give students a vision of life itself as a whole. This is through the study of the Science of Creative Intelligence — learning about the basic laws of nature which structure the entire living world, including human life. The result: education is deeply satisfying for students, and the school environment is calmer and more focused.
