Vesey Crichton — Global Diplomat for the TM Organization from the UK, shares his experiences working with Maharishi during the TM organization’s formative years.
Educated at Eton College and the University of East Anglia, Vesey became a teacher of Transcendental Meditation™ in 1971. Inspired, he applied to join Maharishi’s international staff and was recognized as a knowledgeable, articulate, dignified young man who could convincingly introduce TM to the highest level of educators, business leaders, and governments around the world.
Vesey worked closely with Maharishi for most of the next decade, often writing books and courses with him. Working on these and many other projects, he journeyed alongside Maharishi to 23 countries. TM was booming in those years, with over 30,000 people learning every month in the United States alone. Vesey will take us behind the scenes, sharing the delight of living and working in Maharishi’s dynamic yet blissful orbit during that extraordinary time.
An Executive in the Early Personal Computer Industry
After leaving Maharishi’s international staff in the 1980s, Vesey ran a TM centre in London before embarking on a successful career in the emerging personal computer industry. His leadership roles included Director of Marketing at Compaq Computer; International General Manager at AltaVista – one of the pioneering internet search engines; and Vice President for Europe, Middle East, and Africa for Palm – the innovative PDA and smartphone maker. He later co-founded and managed a large property fund in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Please join us to hear from a pioneer in both the TM organization and the technology revolution.
